Enabling little O Warriors to go out and explore
The Jefferson car seat and Hope car bed are important medical devices for kids with an omphalocele. Their special designs ensures that the child is properly secured and that there is no pressure over their omphalocele while riding in them.
Having a baby is expensive, and at $1800, these high-price car seats are often an overwhelming addition to a long list of essentials. If the hospital doesn’t have a car seat program or the baby’s insurance won’t cover the cost of the seat, this can be another big financial burden to overcome.
Our car seat program helps families that are unable to get one through insurance or afford a brand new purchase. We’re providing an organized source to find a car seat close to you from within the omphalocele community, as well as help with shipping costs, should you need the financial help.
Additionally, O Warrior will be purchasing brand new Jefferson car seats and Hope beds to supplement the current supply. By donating now, you will help us to purchase additional new car seats for these amazing O warriors. We appreciate donations in any and all amounts that will help fund this program. Donations allow O Warrior to purchase additional new car seats, as well as to help cover the cost of shipping these seats to families, as needed.

It’s important to note that each O baby is unique and so we ask that before you request a car seat, you please consult with your medical team after your child is born. This ensures that they are still prescribing a Jefferson or hope for your little one. It’s possible you won’t end up needing one!
