Questions to ask your Maternal Fetal Medicine Doctor

Your OBGYN just said the word Omphalocele, now what? Your OBGYN should schedule you with a MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine Doctor) who provides a higher level of care to you and baby. Questions to ask on your NICU tour

After seeing your MFM doctor and you are closer to delivering (YAY!) your MFM office may be able to set you up with a NICU tour and to meet with some of the team that will be taking care of your baby. If this is not offered it is definitely worth asking. The NICU can be very overwhelming and you may get caught up in hearing the machines and seeing all the equipment for the first time. Here is a compiled list of questions to bring with you and hopefully get answered.
