Volunteers are an essential part of our organization. The mission of O Warrior is to positively impact families affected by an omphalocele diagnosis through support, resources, education, and awareness.

You can be a part of this life-changing work. Without you, the impact of O Warrior would not be as far reaching. O Warrior welcomes, respects, and appreciates all the differences among our volunteers. If you are hesitant to apply, please reach out to us for more information and to discuss your situation. 

REACH OUT

For each position you’ll see the types of things you would help with in the position. You might not work on every item listed, and other things could come up as we grow. You’ll also see some experience or skills listed that might help make you a great fit for that committee. However, passion to help the omphalocele community as well as energy to contribute and help move our mission forward are the most important things that you can bring.

Above all else, we’re looking for motivated volunteers who want to make a difference. 

* All volunteers are required to successfully pass a background check before volunteering with O Warrior.

Open Positions

    Marketing Committee

    What you would help with:

    • Creating social media content, including picture selection/creation and caption writing

    • Running ads on Facebook, Instagram

    • Creating different types of graphic content for projects and committees across O Warrior

    Some skills or experience you might bring to the table:

    • Experience running a successful social media account

    • Creativity with a passion for raising awareness around omphaloceles

    • Graphic design, photography and/or photo/video editing

    • Experience using and designing with Canva

    • Experience creating reels, stories, videos etc. for social media

    Communications Committee

    What you would help with:

    • Creating graphics for online and print materials

    • Increasing SEO and brand visibility online, including assisting with Google Ads

    • Blog post creation on Squarespace platform.

    • Email marketing

    • Website updates

    Some skills or experience you might bring to the table:

    • Experience using the Squarespace platform

    • Experience managing SEO for a company or organization website

    • Experience with simple web design

    Education Committee

    What you would be helping us with:

    • Website content creation for omphaloceles, NICU, etc.

    • Consistent brand template: website, print materials (inc. Thank You cards)

    • Content for print materials for hospitals, OBGYN, Maternal Fetal Medicine, etc.

    • Help with networking with familiar and referred hospitals and maternal fetal specialists

    • Willingness for some cold calling activity – simple introduction of organization and vision

    Some skills you might bring to the table:

    • Willingness and ability to be excited and outgoing about the O Warrior mission.

    Operations Committee

    What you would help with:

    • Help with renewing our registrations with state governments for donation solicitations

    • Assist with sales tax from merchandise sales

    Some skills you might bring to the table:

    • Previous experience working in business operations

    • Attention to detail

    Community Outreach Committee

    What you would help with:

    • Running virtual and/or in-person support groups

    • Event planning and execution

    • Manage a support line (phone/chat)

    Some skills or experience you might bring to the table:

    • Experience running group events

    • Being an active member of the MOO Facebook group

    Fundraising Committee

    What you would help with:

    • Writing grant applications

    • Forming collaborations with other companies, including corporate giving programs

    • Working alongside our Community Outreach Committee to create fundraising campaigns

    Some skills or experience you might bring to the table:

    • Prior experience with grant application writing

    • Excitement to motivate others to give and benefit families with an omphalocele diagnosis
