What is Omphalocele Awareness Day?

Omphalocele Awareness Day is January 31 every year. For the entire month of January, O Warrior and the omphalocele community spread awareness about the omphalocele diagnosis. In addition to awareness, we focus on sharing educational resources and supporting other families and individuals. Lastly, we also use this time to celebrate our O Warriors and all they have overcome and accomplished - at all stages of their journeys.

Below, you will find some of the initiatives O Warrior is taking this January to celebrate Omphalocele Awareness Day.

O Warrior’s First Research Grant

BIG news - O Warrior is partnering with Boston Children’s Hospital for the Inaugural O Warrior Omphalocele Research Grant.

For years, research funding for omphaloceles has lagged. But today, the power is in our hands. We are proud to announce the first-ever research grant funded entirely by the omphalocele community. Every dollar raised here is a direct investment by families, friends, and supporters who want better outcomes for O Warriors everywhere.

This grant is not just funding research, it is funding HOPE. It proves that when our community unites, we can drive medical innovation from the ground up.
